Home About Us Trainees
Trainees

Every year, we have one or more Ministry Trainees working at St John's. They may help out with specific areas of work, such as Youth Ministry, or may work more widely to assist with the smooth running of the church. Trainees may come from a variety of backgrounds - young people looking to serve God during a gap year, or possibly someone who is considering full-time ministry and who wants to gain some real experience of working in a church.

jo_aledJo Seago - Ministry Trainee

Jo is 5'1/2" and proud of it! Originally from North Wales, she became a Christian at the age of 9 but didn’t realise she had to live in the light of it until coming to Moorlands Evangelical Church. Jo first came to Lancaster as a student studying linguistics in 2006 and was a member of Moorlands for five years. She has been married to Aled since June 2010 and since the move is extremely happy to say she still technically lives in the North West (albeit only just). Jo loves books, films, coffee, weird teas and of course anything to do with dogs.

Aled Seago - Ministry Trainee

Aled was born in Wigan, Lancashire, and raised in North Wales. Therefore he is adamant that he is exactly 50% Welsh and 50 % English. Brought up in a Christian household, he first understood the gospel at age 17 through the Two Ways to Live gospel outline, and it was at university he was further challenged, encouraged and clarified in God's Word.

For the past five years, he has lived in Lancaster, serving as part of Moorlands Evangelical Church. He married his wife Jo in 2010, and enjoys studying the Bible, reading, photography, walking, and watching good films, all preferably in Jo's company.
