There is a great deal going on at After 8s over the next few months. We have meetings each Sunday and socials at least once a month. The Programme card below outlines what's on when.
The links at the bottom of this page give an overview of what we have in store and also provide ways to keep in touch.
The Facebook group is a forum for all but provides an additional point of contact for those who are maybe not able to attend every week, but would like to keep up to date with what is going on.

This summer has been one that will live long in the memory - prior to it commencing I would consider this description to have been highly unlikely if for no other reason than this summer did not contain a major sporting event! There have been some significant occurrences. One cannot have failed to see the news relating to riots, revolutions and recession(s?) that require us as Christians to stop and consider, the right response to the changes that are going on in the world we live in.
St John’s Church has always had an involvement in mission; sending people out on mission, receiving speakers who have told of the work that God has called them to do in the mission field and offering financial support to mission projects, organisations and indeed individuals who have selflessly given their time to run or participate in them.
As with all things however, it is important to reflect on the nature of the mission based support that is offered and in March, St John’s undertook to do this at the Missionary Weekend.
For the vast majority of St John's members, the last few months has been business very much as usual, with church services and house groups and men's and women's events all taking place as normal; as part of the vast and varied array of activities that make up the day-to-day at Hartford.
There has been something stirring however within the youth groups at St John's and for the purposes of this article I consider it appropriate to include After 8s under the heading "youth". For clarity, I shall take youth to mean; vibrant and exciting, proactive and engaging and certainly looking to forge ahead with spreading the gospel within the parameters of the group(s).

The After8s Student Prayer Directory (updated November 2011) is a comprehensive list of St John's and After 8s members who are at University and therefore cannot be with us each week. The directory is available as a prayer tool and also as a way of identifying links at St John's if you are a student and wishing to join After 8s.
