Church Cafés
St John’s Thursday Café
We provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages. Our friendly staff serve an excellent variety of food at reasonable prices each Thursday between 10.30 and 2pm.
From September 2010, we also plan to serve cakes, tea & coffee in St John's Church Centre every Thursday and Friday.
St John’s Crackin’ Café
Known locally as "Church Lunch", this cafe is open on Monday lunchtime during termtime from 12pm to 1pm.
It’s a friendly atmosphere for local sixth form students, both from The Grange and Mid-Cheshire College. Hot food is served, music is played and many conversations are held. We usually get around 160 students each week!
The aim is to allow the students to feel comfortable and welcome, and free to discuss things with members of the team. The hope is that they then accept the gospel and follow Jesus as Lord and Saviour. It’s a wonderful evangelistic opportunity, as many of the students have no other Christian contacts, and a significant number are keen to talk about spiritual or religious matters.
