Children's and Youth Work starts right from birth at St John's, with groups for babies and toddlers.
Creche takes place in the Church Centre every Sunday morning.
It is an opportunity for babies and toddlers to play and learn about Jesus in a fun and safe environment while their parents are in the 10am Church Service. Children can be dropped off and registered in creche any time between 9:30 and 10:00am or parents can take them out when the older children leave for Sunday School. They return to the church to join the whole congregation for the last ten minutes of the service.
On arrival at creche, parents choose either to collect their child themselves or to have him/her brought to them by the creche helpers.
Tots and Tinies
Tots and Tinies will be reopening on Weds 4th November. The way we do things will be different, but we hope that it will be a great time to be together. You will need to book a family ticket to attend. Before you do that, please read the "Guide for parents" pdf at the bottom of this page. This will tell you more about what to expect when you come along and will also explain what we need you to do to help us to keep everyone as safe as possible. When you have read the guide, you can book via this link www.totsandtinies.eventbrite.co.uk . You will need to book a place each week you would like to come. There is no charge to book a ticket, but if you would like to make a donation when you arrive, we suggest a voluntary contribution of £1 per family.
If you are still having to be extra careful or are choosing to stay at home, why not make use of the pre-recorded Tot's Bible stories and craft activities, which you can watch at any time. You can find them on our YouTube channel, by clicking on these links - Tots Storytimes and Tots Crafts. There is also a selection of songs for you to enjoy with your little ones at home.
In non-COVID times, Tots and Tinies runs weekly during term time. It takes place every Wednesday in St John's Church Centre from 10am until 11:30.
This is a perfect opportunity for parents and carers to mix with other families in the area and for their children to make new friends. It is a very popular place for people to meet up.
As well as plenty of opportunity to play and do craft activities, there is a snack, Bible story, and singing time too. We ask for a voluntary contribution of £1 per family towards snacks and the up-keep of our toy supply! No need to book in advance, just turn up.
Keep up to date with our Facebook page.
